The Manukau Central Business Association gets new identity

The brand vision and identity was successfully launched to the businesses at the August breakfast meeting at Broncos restaurant. The delicious breakfast put on by the staff was followed by a presentation by Josh Page, from pageone who has been working closely with the comittee over the previous months.

Josh took the attendees on a journey from some of the first seeds planted in the 80’s in a largely industrial area, through to what we now know to be a diverse place with a broad range of businesses in just about every sector from corporate to industrial to business to consumer. He described the vision for the area exploring the opportunities of the area and where we are headed. A Strategy was outlined and then we were presented with our new name ‘Manukau now - the lifestyle and business centre’.

This is a name that is not only very positive and appropriate in the current climate, but it has great ownership potential in light of the impending changes with the supercity, but importantly, "it always remains in the present."says Josh.

In 10 years time we may have a very different area, but we will still be Manukau now! The new brand identity, logo and some concepts of signage, Entrance gateways, and membership card were unveiled marking the beginning of Manukau now.

Following on from Josh’s presentation, the team from Boffa Miskall presented their vision for Sharkey Street, the first of the street improvements in our area. This concept is part of the overall plan to create a safe, secure & vibrant commercial centre. A centre that people visit as a destination of choice, at all levels of service provision.
